1. Who we are
Autonoo creates printable and digital tools that help children aged 3 to 12 grow in independence.
- Site operator: Autonoo, based in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
- Website: autonoo.com
- Contact: [email protected]
- Hosting: Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages), 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
- Person responsible for the protection of personal information: Fethi Guessabi, person responsible for the protection of personal information, reachable at [email protected].
- Shop: our paid products are sold on Etsy (autonoo.etsy.com).
2. Using the printables
Our files are for personal and family use: you may print them for your own child or children. You may not resell, share, redistribute, post online, or modify them for distribution. Use in a classroom, daycare or practice requires a separate licence: contact us. Texts, illustrations and characters (including Kapi and Lolo) remain the property of Autonoo. Full terms of use are in a separate document.
Our products are educational support tools. They do not replace the advice of a health, education or early-childhood professional.
3. Personal information we collect
We collect only what is necessary.
| Situation | Information | Purpose | Where it is processed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email sign-up (freebie, news) | Email address (and parent's first name, if requested), date and IP address of sign-up (proof of consent) | To send you the free file, then occasional emails about our products | MailerLite |
| Custom request | Child's first name and age, version, language, format, requested steps, your email | To produce and deliver the personalised file and reply to you | Brand mailbox, Autonoo production tools |
| Writing to [email protected] | Your email and message | To answer your request | Brand mailbox |
| Visiting the site | Aggregated traffic statistics, no personal identification | To learn which pages are useful | Cloudflare Web Analytics |
We do not ask for a photo, surname, postal address or date of birth of your child. Please do not enter them in free-text fields.
4. Children's information
Our site is intended for parents and guardians, not children. Forms must be completed by an adult. For the custom request, you give us your child's first name and age: by submitting the form, you confirm you are the child's parent or guardian and consent to this use. This information is used only to produce the requested file. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we never publish it.
5. Your consent and your right to withdraw it
- We ask for your explicit consent (unticked checkbox) before adding you to our emails and before using your child's information for a custom request.
- You can withdraw consent at any time: unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or write to [email protected]. Email withdrawal takes effect immediately.
- Withdrawing consent does not affect files already delivered.
6. How long we keep your information
- Sign-up email: until you unsubscribe, then removed from the active list immediately.
- Custom request data (first name, age, choices): deleted 30 days after delivery of the file.
- Messages to [email protected]: 12 months after the last exchange, unless the law requires longer retention (e.g. accounting records).
After these periods, we delete or anonymise the information.
7. Who has access and where it is processed
We do not sell or rent your information. It is accessible to Autonoo team members who need it to answer you or produce your file, and to our service providers:
- MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Lithuania): sending emails;
- Cloudflare (USA): hosting, traffic statistics, Turnstile anti-bot check (processes your IP address when you submit a form) and routing of emails sent to [email protected] and of custom requests (Email Routing);
- Our email provider: receiving and storing messages sent to [email protected];
- Etsy (USA): payment and delivery of purchases made on its platform, under its own privacy policy.
Your information may therefore be processed outside Québec. Before such a transfer, we assessed the privacy risks, as the law requires. The providers involved are MailerLite (Lithuania, European Union, where the GDPR applies), Cloudflare (United States), which also routes our emails, and our email provider, which receives messages sent to [email protected], including custom requests. Safeguards: a data processing agreement with each, limiting use of the information to our instructions and requiring security measures and confidentiality; encryption of exchanges (HTTPS); and minimisation, since we send only what is necessary (email, parent's first name, proof of consent); no information about the child is sent to MailerLite; access is limited to people who need it. On that basis, we consider that the information receives adequate protection.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures traffic without cookies and without tracking visitors across sites. We use no advertising cookies. For this reason the site does not display a cookie banner.
9. Your rights
You may ask, by writing to [email protected], to:
- access the information we hold about you or your child;
- have it corrected;
- have it deleted;
- withdraw your consent.
We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
If you live outside Québec, including in the European Union, you also have the rights of access, rectification and erasure provided by the law of your place of residence; write to us at the same address, and we honour them for all our subscribers.
10. Security and incidents
We take reasonable measures to protect your information (restricted access, reputable tools). In case of an incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we will notify affected persons and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.
11. External links
Our pages link to Etsy, Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok. These platforms have their own policies, which we do not control.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update this page; the date at the top applies. It is governed by the laws of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
